About the Artwork
What makes Sean Schuster’s fine art prints different from standard photographic prints?
Each artwork is a museum-grade, limited edition print meticulously crafted using the world’s finest materials. Hand-built for exceptional detail, depth, and longevity, these collector-grade pieces stand apart from standard prints. Every print undergoes rigorous quality control and comes with a lifetime warranty, ensuring your investment remains a legacy piece for generations to come.
What materials are used to create your fine art prints?
All prints are crafted using the highest-resolution photographic techniques. Each piece is face-mounted to museum-grade acrylic for exceptional clarity and depth, then reinforced with aluminum backing for long-term stability and a clean, modern finish. This process enhances visual impact while ensuring every artwork meets the expectations of collectors seeking heirloom-quality fine art.

What are acrylic face-mounted prints?
Acrylic face-mounted prints are a premium display method where a high-resolution photograph is sealed between gallery-grade acrylic and an aluminum backing. This process creates striking depth, vibrancy, and clarity—enhancing the image with a luminous, almost backlit appearance.
All of Sean’s collectible works are produced using this archival technique. The result is a modern, estate-worthy piece designed to last a lifetime. Framing options are then tailored to suit the collector’s vision, offering a refined and timeless presentation for any space.

Why do your prints look like they’re backlit?
Sean Schuster’s fine art prints often appear to glow because of the premium materials and techniques used. Each photograph is face-mounted to optical-grade acrylic, enhancing colour richness, depth, and clarity. While there’s no internal lighting, this process creates a radiant, almost backlit appearance—especially when lit properly in a home or gallery setting. It’s a signature quality of Sean’s timeless artwork that transforms any space into a visual experience.
What display options are available for your artwork?
We offer three museum-quality formats to suit different design aesthetics:
- Floating Frameless – Clean and minimalist, this gallery-style presentation lets the artwork speak for itself.
- Framed – Choose from a curated selection of handcrafted frames. Our most popular styles are available online, with additional collector favourites in-gallery.
- Ready to Frame – Delivered without a rear bracket, allowing you to have it custom-framed to match existing décor or collections.
Can I frame the artwork myself?
Absolutely. While many collectors choose our premium framing options, the Ready to Frame format is designed for personal customization. It’s perfect for those incorporating a legacy-grade piece into an existing collection or seeking to complement a specific interior style.
Do you sell unmounted or rolled prints?
Yes, we offer unmounted collector prints upon request. These archival-grade photographs are shipped rolled for custom framing. However, please note: purchasing an unmounted print means you are forgoing the lifetime warranty, as we cannot guarantee the handling, mounting, or materials used outside our process.
If you choose this route, you’ll be asked to sign a release form acknowledging the terms. We also recommend cold mounting on a smooth, stable substrate using UV-protective solvent acrylic adhesives. Avoid foam core to prevent surface dimpling.
Is the artwork ready to hang when it arrives?
Yes, all framed and face-mounted pieces arrive ready to hang using a secure, gallery-grade mounting system. Installation is straightforward, and we’ve created a detailed guide to help.

Our team is also happy to offer personalized recommendations if needed. Please reach out to your Art Specialist with any specific questions.
Are your photographs Limited Edition?
Yes, every photograph is produced as a Limited Edition, meaning only a fixed number of prints will ever be made. This exclusivity ensures each piece remains rare and valuable for collectors.
What is a Limited Edition print?
A Limited Edition print is a photographic artwork produced in a predetermined quantity. Once the edition sells out, no further prints will be produced. Sean’s Limited Editions typically range from 75 to 90 signed prints, with the edition size determined by the artwork’s physical size. These prints are museum-quality, designed as enduring, collectible investments.
Do you provide authentication for the artwork?
Yes, every fine art print is authenticated to ensure its provenance and value as a collectible investment. Each piece features a serialized hologram discreetly placed on the back for security. Alongside your artwork, you’ll receive a Certificate of Authenticity bearing a matching hologram number. This documentation guarantees your limited edition, museum-quality print is genuine, heirloom-grade, and protected for a lifetime.
Is each artwork signed and numbered?
Absolutely. Every Limited Edition print undergoes a thorough quality inspection before being signed by Sean Schuster. Each piece is marked with a unique edition number and a serialized hologram on the back, ensuring authenticity and adding to its collectible, gallery-grade value. This signature guarantees your artwork is a timeless, investment-quality piece.
Do you offer poster prints of your photographs?
No, we do not offer poster prints. Sean Schuster Fine Art specializes exclusively in limited edition, museum-quality photographic prints. Each piece is created with the utmost care and crafted from premium materials, designed to be a timeless, gallery-grade investment for discerning collectors.

Preservation & Display
How do I hang my artwork?
Your artwork arrives ready to hang, with the appropriate hardware already attached to the back of the frame. For Sean’s framed pieces, we include wall anchors and bear claw screws designed for secure hanging on drywall.
While picture hangers and additional wall anchors are recommended for certain wall types, these are not included as mounting needs vary based on your space and preferences.
For guidance, you can download our detailed Hanging Guide here:
Please note: Hanging artwork should ideally be done by an experienced professional. The provided guidelines are for informational purposes only. Sean Schuster and Sean Schuster Fine Art Gallery cannot be held responsible for any personal injury or property damage, even if the guidelines are followed correctly.
How do I light my artwork?
Proper lighting for your artwork combines spotlights and diffused light to enhance its beauty without glare. The ideal spread depends on how far the light fixture is from the photograph.
You can find a better lighting guide here.
We strongly recommend consulting an electrician or lighting professional to ensure the lighting is installed safely and effectively to complement both your artwork and your space.
How do I clean my artwork?
Image Surface
Acrylic-mounted prints require gentle care. Clean them only when necessary, using a soft, damp, high-quality microfibre cloth. Lightly dust the surface, rinse the cloth with clean water, and dry by blotting. Avoid dry or gritty cloths, as they can scratch the surface and create static.
Never use window cleaners, scouring powders, solvents like acetone, gasoline, or lacquer thinner—these will cause permanent damage.
Linen
To clean linen mats, use compressed or canned air to blow away dust without moisture. A clean lint brush can help remove stubborn dust, but be careful not to scratch the acrylic or frame.
Frame
Wood frames have a protective wax finish and only need periodic dusting with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid liquids or chemicals that could damage the finish. Satin black and stainless steel frames can be gently wiped with a microfibre cloth, rinsed lightly with water, and dried by blotting.
Always handle your artwork with care to preserve its beauty and longevity.
Lifetime Warranty
What does your lifetime warranty cover?
Sean’s Limited Edition artworks are backed by a lifetime warranty for the original owner, covering any manufacturing defects in materials or craftsmanship. This includes issues related to the printing, mounting, acrylic face, linen liners, or frame construction. If a defect arises, we’ll repair or, at our discretion, replace the piece — as outlined in our Lifetime Artwork Warranty.
Is the lifetime warranty transferable if I sell or gift the artwork?
Yes—our lifetime warranty is fully transferable. It follows the artwork itself, not the original purchaser, so future collectors receive the same protection. This adds lasting value to your investment and ensures continued confidence in the quality and longevity of the piece.
To initiate the transfer, the new owner must complete our Transfer of Ownership Form, which can be found in the My Account section of the website. Without this form, the warranty coverage cannot be extended to a new collector.
How do I make a warranty claim?
Visit the My Account section on our website. Click on “Claims” in the sidebar to find detailed instructions and all necessary forms to begin your warranty claim.
What is considered a defect covered by the warranty?
A defect refers to any issue where the artwork no longer presents as originally intended. This may include lifting acrylic, delamination, or other irregularities resulting from materials or workmanship. Every piece is produced using proven processes and premium materials, and we stand fully behind their long-term integrity. Details are outlined in our Lifetime Artwork Warranty.
Are framing or mounting issues covered under warranty?
Yes, your warranty extends to all aspects of production, including framing, mounting, and linen liners. If anything related to the construction fails due to a defect, it’s covered.
Does exposure to sunlight, moisture or heat void the warranty?
Yes. Artwork placed in direct sunlight or near excessive moisture or heat sources (like a fireplace) may experience material degradation and will not be eligible for warranty coverage.
What if my artwork was damaged after delivery — is that still covered?
Yes. Our Collector Wear & Tear Guarantee provides lifetime support even in cases of accidental damage, improper handling, or issues that occur during moving or installation. In these situations, repairs are offered at cost, with applicable shipping fees. Full details are outlined in our Lifetime Artwork Warranty.
Exchanges & Returns
What is your return or exchange policy?
We accept returns on Open Edition artworks and photography books within 7 days of delivery, provided the item remains in its original condition and packaging. A 20% restocking fee applies, and all return shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer.
Limited Edition artworks are custom-crafted and therefore non-returnable. However, they are supported by our Lifetime Exchange Program, designed to give collectors long-term flexibility as tastes and spaces evolve.
Under this program, your artwork may be exchanged for in-gallery credit toward another piece, provided that:
-
You are the original owner
-
At least one year has passed since delivery
-
The artwork remains in original condition
If the artwork shows signs of wear or damage, we’re still happy to help. In those cases, trade-in credit will be offered based on a professional condition assessment. Full terms, including coverage details and long-term care provisions, are outlined in our Lifetime Artwork Warranty.
Can I return an artwork if I change my mind?
Yes—for Open Edition artworks and photography books. Returns must be initiated within 7 days of delivery, in original condition and packaging. A 20% restocking fee applies.
Limited Editions cannot be returned, but our Lifetime Exchange Program ensures you’re never locked in.
How do I start an exchange or return?
Log into your My Account portal on our website and select “Returns” or “Exchanges” from the sidebar. Step-by-step instructions and support are provided there.
Is there a time limit for returns or exchanges?
Yes—returns must be made within 7 days of delivery for eligible items.
However, our Lifetime Exchange has no expiration as long as you’re the original owner and the artwork meets our condition requirements.
How often can I exchange an artwork?
You may exchange an artwork once every two years through our Lifetime Exchange Program. This ensures thoughtful decision-making and helps us maintain the integrity and exclusivity of our Limited Editions.
What happens if my artwork arrives damaged or incorrect?
Your artwork is fully insured while in transit. In the rare event that it arrives damaged or incorrect, simply visit My Account and submit a claim under Claims. Please include clear photos and the original shipping details, and we’ll begin the replacement process promptly.
Full details on shipping protection, claims, exchanges, and long-term coverage can be found on our Lifetime Warranty, Exchange & Returns page.
Can I make changes to my order after it’s placed?
It depends on where your artwork is in the production timeline. For example, linen mounting and framing typically begin around week 3, so changes are often possible before then.
If you’re still finalizing details or unsure about something, let your art consultant know before placing your order—we can schedule a pause in the process for final confirmation.
Do you offer store credit if I’m unsure which artwork to choose?
Absolutely. If you’re undecided, we’re happy to issue store credit so you can take your time choosing the perfect piece for your space.
Replacement & Repair Process
Who covers return shipping costs?
Return shipping is the responsibility of the collector unless the return is related to a warranty claim. In the case of a covered warranty issue, all shipping and handling costs are fully covered by us.
Complete terms and conditions are outlined on our Lifetime Warranty, Exchange & Returns page.
How should I package the artwork for a return or repair?
Please use the original packaging to ensure safe and secure transport. Be sure to include all items that were shipped with your artwork, including the Certificate of Authenticity.
Failure to include the certificate may result in your return being delayed or denied.
How long does it take to receive a replacement or repaired piece?
Timelines vary depending on the extent of the damage. Most replacements or repairs are completed within 30 to 90 days.
Will I be updated throughout the return or warranty process?
Yes. You’ll receive email updates at each key stage, and you can track the progress at any time through the My Account portal.
Can I return a custom-sized or commissioned artwork?
No. All custom-sized or commissioned artworks are final sale and not eligible for return or exchange.
What makes your return policy different from other art galleries?
Most galleries consider all sales final, especially for limited editions and custom works. We do things differently.
Our collector-first approach includes a lifetime exchange option, allowing you to trade in your artwork for in-store credit if your space or style evolves—something rarely offered in fine art.
Paired with our fully transferable lifetime warranty, this policy gives you long-term confidence and flexibility as your collection grows.
Is there a satisfaction guarantee with your artwork?
Yes. Our lifetime warranty and lifetime exchange program offer built-in peace of mind, ensuring lasting satisfaction with every piece.
Do I need the original packaging to return or exchange my artwork?
Yes. Original packaging is required for all returns and exchanges to ensure the artwork arrives safely and remains eligible for warranty coverage.
