In Goldstream Provincial Park on Vancouver Island, I spent nearly 10 years chasing the perfect shot of Little Niagara Falls. Each fall, I returned to the park hoping to capture the right moment, yet something always seemed to be missing—until this year, when everything finally aligned.
As soon as I arrived, the vibrant reds and golds of the leaves surrounded me, perfectly complementing the powerful flow of the waterfall. Moments like this are what draw me to nature photography—when the landscape feels alive and the air carries a quiet sense of magic.
I quickly set up my camera, knowing this moment was special. The leaves in Goldstream Provincial Park seemed to glow in the soft autumn light, creating a stunning foreground for the waterfall. The contrast between the cascading waters and the golden foliage was breathtaking.
In Vancouver Island’s Goldstream Provincial Park, the scene felt both timeless and fleeting. The waterfall, framed by nature’s autumn palette, stood as a symbol of seasonal change. I knew this was the shot I had been waiting for.
After years of anticipation, I had finally captured “Autumn Gold.” This experience reminded me that patience and timing are essential in photography. Sometimes, nature takes its time, but when it does, it rewards you with extraordinary moments.
